tag2find v0.8.3.2 is out
January 26th, 2007 by martinToday we are releasing another small bug fix release in the 0.8 branch (sign in for download). We received only a few error reports, so we conclude that it is running quite stable, which we are happy about.
Fixed bugs in this release:
- unhandled exception when trying to manually submit feedback using the feedback wizard
- a very rare race-condition when canceling certain long-running tasks
- major speed improvements when adding tags in the “Edit Tags” page in TagBrowser to a large number of files
Next steps:
Work on v0.10 is already commencing quite well. Basic tag-suggestions for initial tagging have already been realized, we are now working on getting the new file notification working properly and user-friendly.

Wow, great! But how can I update my tag2find? It isn’t able to go through the proxy of my university, so the automatic checking option for updates doesn’t work…
Is anybody there who could help me?
Thanks!

Hi,
the check only notifies you if a new version of the software is available, so you are not missing a lot.
What you can do, however, is to subscribe to our “Announcement” RSS newsfeed of this blog, where we announce our new releases. The URL is http://blog.tag2find.com/category/announcements/feed/.
I just now realized that there is no direct link for only subscribing the “Announcement” category. We will add this shortly to the WordPress template.

Thank you, martin!
But then, what should I do to download the updated version? Is there a link or webadress where I could log in and download the new soft??
Gracias, Danke!

Hi,
the download is available from http://www.tag2find.com/download.html , clicking on “sign in”. I just added a link to this article which points directly to the right page. Thank you for pointing out that we missed this.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Martin
